Located in the Bowen Basin, Anglo American’s Grosvenor Longwall Mine is one of the region’s most significant coal operations. Powering critical mining infrastructure in such an environment demands dependable, high-performance electrical components – and CMI Electrical delivered.
CMI was selected to supply a full suite of low-voltage and instrumentation cable systems, along with the Minto Quick-Release Restrained Plug & Receptacle System. This decision was based on the Minto system’s proven track record for performance and safety, particularly its:
- IP68-rated waterproof and dustproof design
- Reinforced body for mechanical resilience in rough handling
- Quick-release locking system that minimises arc flash risks during maintenance
